Options To Start Up A Website

If you’re looking to start up a website either for personal reasons or for a business, there’s never been an easier time.  Thanks to helpful platforms such as Wix and WordPress as well as Squarespace, you can start up a great looking website with

minimal effort and expertise.  You don’t have to know any code or anything – you can just start out and it’s about as easy as writing up a document in a word processor.  If you’ve used Word before or a similar program (such as WordPerfect) then you will have a very easy time using these editors.

Why Start A Blog

Blogging has become incredibly mainstream in the past few years.  It seems that everyone wants to start a website for some reason or another.  One of the biggest reasons that people want to start a blog is to make money online.  There has never been an easier time to start up a self run business by publishing content and making money from advertisers and affiliate programs.  It’s incredibly easy to do and can provide a great side-income for people and for some it can even replace their day jobs.  Being a full time blogger is becoming a common job these days.

Another reason to start a blog is to promote a local business or a personal business.  People search the internet to find businesses these days, either for medical, personal, shopping, recreation, and everything else you can think of.  If you own a local business then you should definitely think about creating a website.

For instance, a lot of people when choosing a doctor want to see information about that doctor online before making an appointment.  If the doctor fails to provide any information or a personal website then their credibility goes down in the eyes of the potential patient.

How To Start A Blog

If you’re wondering how to start a blog, then you’ll be happy to find out that it’s incredibly easy.  There are a few different services you can choose from.

If you want to do it yourself and use WordPress then I highly recommend that you set up a hosting account with Bluehost and allow them to set things up for you.  I definitely think that if you can get accustomed to WordPress then you’ll have a super great time publishing your website.  It’s a bit of a learning curve but not much.  And if you can learn to use it you’ll have a LOT more flexibility now and in the future.

If you’re a little intimidated by WordPress then you can go with something like Wix or Squarespace which are slightly more user friendly.  They offer graphical interfaces and included hosting.  All you have to do is choose a style and write the content.  However, if you do go with Wix or Squarespace then you might sacrifice a bit of flexibility and customization that you would have with WordPress.

All in all, starting a blog has never been easier, and the benefits are many.  If you have any questions about starting up your own website you can leave a comment below.
